From two different Vineyards in Moreda de Álava, planted in 1936 and 1955.
Harvest and Production
Hand harvested at optimal ripeness in 10kg boxes according to the lunar calendar. They are macerated for a week with their skins in a concrete tank. Later transferred to a 500-liter French barrels fermented without any type of additive or preservative. Malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously. The wine remains in the barrel for 12 months.
Tasting Notes
At first glance, it is dressed in a medium-high cherry red. The smell shows very marked balsamic notes, aromas of violet and pure. On the palate, it appears youthful and vigorous while remaining fine, elegant and well structured. Firm tannins with a lot of minerality.
